The local leader, Selvakumar, has been arrested and suspended by his party.The incident reportedly took place on May 25.
Selvakumar is seen kicking the woman even as other three others try to stop him.
The woman is heard screaming in pain in the video.According to the police, the woman had taken a loan of Rs.
5 lakh from Selvakumar, who was demanding she return it.The DMK has suspended Selvakumar from primary membership accusing him of "bringing disrepute to the party".Selvakumar has also been charged by the police with assault, hurting and harassment.
