KATHMANDU, APRIL 28The CPN (UML) candidate has garnered the highest number of votes so far in the counting of ballots for the provincial assembly by-election held on Saturday.

As per reports, CPN (UML) candidate Daman Bahadur Bhandari is leading with 2,087 votes.
The votes counted thus far are from Chhabispathibhera Rural Municipality and Thalara Rural Municipality-9.Similarly, Janak Bahadur Budha of CPN (Maoist Centre) has received 1,373 votes, while Nepali Congress candidate Abhishek Bahadur Singh has secured 1,289 votes, informed Chief Election Officer Sudarshan Lamichhane.
Lamichhane further stated that CPN (Unified Socialist) candidate Dil Bahadur Singh has obtained 855 votes, and Rastriya Prajatantra Party's Kishor Khadka has garnered 34 votes.
